Jan. 28...It's no fun being Baby Frank these days!

I took Frank to the afterhours clinic again (2nd time in a month) yesterday for another double ear infection. He has been averaging one every 2 weeks. Poor little guy! At least he was feeling good for his birthday! We have an appointment with the ENT next Monday so we'll see what he says...

Anna Grace comes to Visit

Anna Grace and Kayne came to visit us last week. The girls had a ball playing princesses together!

Anna Grace and Bess always end up taking their princess dresses off and playing in their underwear!

Frank's Day Off

Frank decided to take today off from work. He kept Baby Frank this morning while I taught and both Franks took Bess to school and then headed to Leapin Lizards. Frank said they had a ball. Baby Frank loved jumping in the inflatables, sliding down the slide, and "walking" all around. He's still not steady, but he is getting there.

I came home from work and picked up Baby Frank and we headed to Mellow Mushroom to meet some friends for lunch. We met Clara, Mandy, Kim and Charles, Lauren and Ramsey, and Elizabeth, James, and Maddox Render. We enjoyed some delicious pizza and then headed over to EdVenture Children's Museum.

While we were eating lunch and playing at EdVenture, Frank and Bess went to Target and Frank's office. We had been promising her a treat all week if she had good behavior. Frank got her a "Belle" tiny doll set...I think some of the pieces are already missing! At the office, Frank had to pick up some things and he loves to take the children by to see his staff. Frank happened to have Bess's bike in the car and she practiced riding in the parking lot.

Afterwards, Frank and Bess joined all of us at EdVenture for some fun. Both kids had a great time and were worn out after our fun-filled day!

Frank's Birthday Party

Frank had his second 1st birthday party yesterday. We invited some of his buddies over for cupcakes and fun! His guests were Margaret Norton, Lucy Gray Helmly, Dottie King, Ramsey Smith, Charles Leighton, Wilson Smith, Sawyer Wren, Maddox Render, and Will and Cal McQueen. Frank had a ball playing with his friends and eating cupcakes. Bess had a great time, too...You can see in the pictures below how much fun she was having eating cupckes!

Frank's 1st Birthday Party

We all had a great time today at Frank's 1st Birthday Party! Mama made a delicious birthday cake and she also made cupcakes for our younger guests...Big Daddy and I enjoyed some, too. Frank polished off 2 cupcakes and would have eaten more if I had let him. He loved opening his gifts with the help of his big sister, Bess. He got all kind of goodies...A Lightning McQueen ride-on toy, a Thomas the Train suitcase, some books, a Cozy Coupe Car, lots of pajamas and clothes, and a cool V-Tech Learning Laptop. He even got his very own remote control...a real one...without batteries! I will be posting pictures from our wonderful day soon.

What a Year!

Last Year...

I can't believe that Frank will be 1 tomorrow! Tonight I went to Target to get Frank a couple of gifts for his birthday and I was thinking about Jan. 15 last year...We had Mellow Mushroom for dinner and then Mama, Martha Ann, and I went to Target (of course!). We bought some baby boy goodies and some things for me to take to the hospital. I was wearing a short sleeve shirt...It was very warm that night. After Target, we drove downtown and made sure everyone knew how to find Baptist Hospital. It seems like just yesterday! I went to bed very excited about the next day...Jan. 16, my scheduled c-section.

Of course, the next morning, we were running late. Long story, partly my fault, partly the hospital's fault. At my appt. the day before, I was told to be at the hospital at 6:30 a.m. (It was even written down for me by my doctor!). I wanted to curl my hair that morning because I knew there would be lots of pictures, so we were running at least 5-10 minutes late. The hospital called here about 6:15 and asked us if we were coming...We said that we were about to leave, but that we weren't supposed to be there until 6:30. Well, there must have been some miscommunication because they were expecting me at 6...Anyway, we got there and the nurse even commented on my hair! Time well spent! We waited and waited and waited...Finally, they took me in. Frank was ready to make his debut...All 8 pounds of him. He was so precious! We bonded immediately and all my fears about having a boy were gone. I have loved every minute of this year, but it has gone way too fast!

Sleeping Bess!

The kids and I came to Greenville Friday. They spent the weekend with YaYa and Big Daddy and I went to Market in Atlanta. Friday night Bess was already in her pajamas and disappeared upstairs for awhile. She came back downstairs wearing her Snow White costume. When it was time for bed, she went upstairs before us, and then about 5 or so minutes later we went upstairs to tuck her in. This is what we found. Bess in her costume (hoop and all) fast asleep!
