Today Frank and I went to Ramsey's first birthday party. It was lots of fun! The birthday boy looked so precious in his first birthday outfit, and he loved eating his birthday cupcake! Ramsey's guests were Charles Leighton, James Sullivan, Wilson Smith, Wood Moore, Sawyer Wren, Maddox Render, and Frank Manning. Lauren (Ramsey's mom), Elizabeth (Maddox's mom), and Kim (Charles's mom) took some great pictures so hopefully they will send me some by e-mail, and I will put them on the blog.
Frank loved playing with all his buddies. He and Ramsey see each other everyday (Lauren keeps him while I teach) so they, of course, loved seing each other. Sawyer, who turned 1 in October, was walking everywhere and Wilson, who turned 1 later in October, is starting to walk, also. It is wonderful that so many of my close girlfriends have boys close in age!

Frank LOVED his (and Ramsey's, too!) birthday cupcake. Lauren also sent one home for Bess. After the party when I picked up Bess from Lucy's house, she saw the cupcake in my car and, of course, wanted it NOW. I told her that she had to wait for supper and she could have it for dessert. She kept on and kept on begging me to let her hold it, so finally I gave in. She promised that she would not eat it. When we got home, I got her out of the car and saw that she had taken the saran wrap off and eaten some of the icing. She said," I'm sorry mother!" Lately, she thinks that when she says she's sorry she's off the hook and won't get in trouble. So...she had to eat her supper and then I gave in (again) and let her have it for dessert.
