Baby Update - I go back to the doctor this Thursday...31 weeks. Time has really flown by! I'm going to talk with the doctor about my chances of going to Disney World with Bess and (Big) Frank. Our September trip was cancelled due to the possible impact of Hurricane Ike, and it was rescheduled for October 29-November 1. I'll be about 35 weeks, so hopefully she'll say I am good to go with them! I have not been feeling super lately...Bad heartburn, esp. when I get a little nervous (like when I have both kids by myself at a birthday party) and my lower back has been hurting. But, I've been trying to take it easy at night and go to bed a little earlier so I bet that will help me feel better. 7 more weeks until the big day...It will be here before we know it. The house will not be ready when the baby arrives, so he will sleep in our room for awhile. Things will be nuts around here during the holidays!
Bess - Bess is in school everyday from 9-12 and seems to be enjoying it! She takes an arts and crafts class once a week after school and LOVES that. She also wanted to try tap this year instead of ballet. I think it had something to do with the tap shoes. She seems to love it! Bess also has choir practice once a week at church. She is very excited about fall! We have already been to the pumpkin patch down the street twice...and it just opened on Saturday. Bess is also interested in our backyard "garden." This is hilarious that she continues to call it a "garden" because our backyard looks pretty bad. She also loves to read and go to the library. Lilly's Big Day is a favorite of hers. This is about a little girl who wants/tries to be a flower girl in her teacher's wedding. Well, Bess is going to be a flower girl in my cousin's wedding in March so I think this is why she loves this book so much! She also loves the book, Fancy Nancy, and of course she still loves reading princess stories and Bible stories.
Frank - Frank goes to school MWF from 9-12...So far, so good! He cries a little when I drop him off, but he is always happy when I pick him up. He loves painting and music at school, or so his teachers say. They send the neatest progress reports home each day so we can see what was for snack, what the kids did that day, their mood, etc. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we have time to hang out, just the two of us. We went to the Zoo last Thursday and today we went to Leapin' Lizards. At first, we were the only ones there and it was perfect, but then lots of little ones started coming in, and Frank started becoming very interested in some of the other kids' toys, etc. He was a little too interested in a little boy's band-aid on his head, and the first time I grabbed him before he could touch it. Then a little while later, I was too slow. He took the band-aid off this child's head and the mother was not happy! At that point, I decided that we needed to leave... before my heartburn got any worse. We had a fun morning and look forward to our next adventure together...maybe the fire station!

After having Frank with me last week, I understand the heartburn. I had a little myself when Frank set off my car alarm during the outdoor concert at the assisted living facility where Terrell's Aunt Jane lives!!!! But I had a ball with him - can't wait for his next visit!
