Bess and her make-up...(Dec. 28)

Bess loves make-up! She got some big girl make-up for Christmas from Santa and her Aunt Laurin. She wants to put on lip gloss all the time, and she wants to put it on me, too. She also is really into painting her fingernails and toenails. I've seen her several times with the polish open, and I've told her she can only use it with her mom or dad or outside (but then probably still with one of us or it might end up on the house). Anyway, I was on the phone this afternoon and she polished her own fingernails and toenails in the playroom. By the way, good things never happen when I am on the phone! Of course, she got the polish on the playroom carpet and all over her hands, feet, and legs, which I was not happy about, but she was having the time of her life (and it was in the playroom), so I couldn't stay too mad. I think I might hide the polish tonight and see if she notices tomorrow. If she asks about it, I'll tell her we'll do it at a special time (when her brother is napping) when I can do it for her...and spread lots of newspaper out before she even opens the bottle.
